IMS Technology
For Research Purposes Only

Immunomagnetic separation (IMS) is a method used to isolate cells from a sample, e.g. biological specimens, cell culture, or environmental matrices.   Paramagnetic beads, coated with antibodies, will bind to antigens present on the surface of target cells.   A magnet is then applied to the sample tube and the IMS particle-target cell complex is pulled toward the magnet, concentrating and isolating the target cells.   Later, the IMS particles can be detached from the target cells, which can be visualized and identified through immunofluorescence and DIC microscopy.

IMS-Grab™ beads are designed for use in the capture and isolation of Cryptosporidium spp. oocysts or Microsporidial ( Enterocytozoon bienusi and/or Encephalitozoon spp . ) spores.   The beads are provided as a monodisperse, stable suspension of paramagnetic particles that measure approximately 1.6 um in diameter.

Kit Includes:
•  IMS-Grab™ Beads, 2.0 mL
•  Grab™ Buffer-A, 10X concentrated
•  Grab™ Buffer-B, 1X concentrated

AccuSpike™-IR

AccuSpike™-IR has been approved by the US EPA for use in Methods 1622 & 1623!

AccuSpike™-IR is designed for use as the spiking suspension in Methods 1622 and 1623 for the determination of percent recovery in Initial Precision and Recovery (IPR), Ongoing Precision and Recovery (OPR), and Matrix Spike (MS) tests.

Each 1.5 mL polypropylene microtube contains 100 flow cytometry sorted Giardia lamblia cysts and Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts each, suspended in 0.75 mL of reagent-grade water with 0.01% Tween 20, that have been inactivated and preserved by gamma irradiation.   The internal structures of the cysts and oocysts are completely intact and easily identified, and the cells are fully reactive with antibody-coated immunomagnetic particles and fluorescent antibodies. AccuSpike™-IR has a shelf-life of 10 weeks.

AccuSpike™-IR is a non-hazardous, non-infectious product. Although the organisms exhibit signs of viability (e.g., propidium iodide exclusion, excystability), they have been proven to be non-infectious for animal models.

S100-1-9MM

There is a new addition to our line of SuperStick™ Slides! The S100-1-9MM is a single-well, teflon-coated, custom manufactured slide that is chemically treated to increase cell adhesion to the surface of the slide well, which measures 9mm in diameter. This slide also has a super-frosted end for easier writing and viewing of the description.

Each box contains 40 slides.

New Monoclonal Antibodies against Microsporidial spp.
We are excited to announce the availability of a new series of immunofluorescence detection kits consisting of monoclonal antibodies made against Encephalitozoon intestinalis and Enterocytozoon bienusi!

A700. Microspor-FA™

A710. MicrosporUltra-FA™

A720. Bienusi-Glo™

A700. Microspor-FA™. This kit can be used for the detection of E. intestinalis, E. hellum, and E. cuniculi.

A710. MicrosporUltra-FA™. In addition to the antibodies used in A700, this kit includes antibodies against E. bienusi.

A720. Bienusi-Glo™. This is a species-specific detection kit. The antibody in this kit will only bind to spores of E. bienusi.
