SuperStick™ Slides |
These custom manufactured slides are have a special in-house chemically treated surface to maximize the adhesion of cysts, oocysts, spores, and other types of cells. Each slide has a green, Teflon-coated background, surrounding the wells, which is hydrophobic to ensure that the sample stays within the reaction well before drying. Each slide also has a super-frosted area at one end for writing with a pencil, pen or marker.

This medium is also fade-retardant and contains polyvinyl alcohol and DABCO. When allowed to dry overnight, Elvanol dries to a gelatinous, semi-solid film, allowing long-term storage and repeated viewing of immunofluorescent cells or tissue without messy leakage or drying out.
